Hey, why so incognito? I ended up reading your take on dating Korean men, from 2008. I think your age and where you were raised says a lot. So, I'm curious..
I was gonna leave a longer reply but for all I know you might be an ex of mine.. Korean, Mariner fan and all... Hmmm..
If not, I'd like to maybe ask a few questions, since I'm heading to S.Korea around March for ESL work.

Alright, here goes.. I was engaged to a Korean man a year ago and he became cold as hell and would often try to convince me that it was a cultural thing. "I'm Korean! I'm just being Korean!" Several female Korean friends have suggested that Korean men in general are cold, not affectionate, noncommunicative and humorless. I'm a fiery southern girl from Tennessee who has always been attracted to Asian, native or Islander men.
So the question.. Is this true? Are *most* Korean men cold?
Should I start gearing myself to suffocate my impulses and steer away from men while in Korea? Because, it's taken me a good year to thaw out.
Plus, he was a cheater. Is that an issue, also? Dammit? I'm loyal while I'm in a relationship and not scoping out their friends/other guys to bone. What the hell?! I love sex and I'm not unattractive. He had NO excuse!
And lastly, are you also afraid of fans? ;)

as I wrote, Korean men are men first and Korean second. I'm sorry but, not knowing specifics, it does sound like your man was just falling out of love with you. The fact that he was cheating on you alone should give it away, huh?
Cold, not affectionate, non communicative and humorless are just stereotypes. Don't let people fool you with that.
Regarding fans... hahaha. How am I afraid? I don't quite understand that.
Yeah, I getcha. I'm not a big fan of stereotyping either, especially of people below the Mason-Dixon line. But it's somewhat confusing when a person is stereotyping their own race. I'll chalk it up to.. my ex was a jerk. He was also a pretentious performance artist who occassionally wore women's clothing.
And.. you should probably read up about this. The warning sticker is awesome. (2nd link below) I want one, or several.
